KICKSTARTING A GLUTEN FREE LIFESTYLE

Whether you are sensitive to gluten or starting a journey towards a healthier you, first thing's first: you must detox before going gluten free. Detoxifying your body for a period of at least two weeks is one of the most important phases in your new lifestyle. In a nutshell, this is because you let go of everything that is toxic.

Emotions, medications, heavy metals, chemicals, etcetera; I could write a book naming everything that is toxic, so I will keep it simple.

Gluten Sugar Dairy Processed foods Foods that are sprayed with chemicals Genetically manipulated foods

Essentially, all foods that are a burden to your body's detoxification systems are toxic. Therefore, raw foods are your friends for the next two weeks of your detox phase. It is best advised that you eat:

All vegetables except corn and potatoes All nuts except peanuts Olive oil Flax Seed Oil Hemp Oil Coconut Oil Stevia Xylitol Sheep's milk and cheeses Goat's milk and cheeses Cottage cheese (unless you have hypothyroidism) Goat Cheese Eggs (unless you have hypothyroidism) Oat Milk Almond Milk Soy Milk Coconut Sugar All fruits except oranges, tangerines, and grapefruits Poultry Seafood Soy products (unless you have hypothyroidism)

There you go! Happy detox.
