THE MOST EXPENSIVE CHEESE

When you hear the word 'expensive', you think Louis Vuitton, Dubai and Rolex. However, food can also be as excessively expensive as the three things that I just mentioned. Cheese, for example.

I was surprised (and a bit disgusted, to be honest) after learning that there is a cheese that costs US$500.00 per pound. Now, I have to be extra careful when picking my cheese. I really had no idea that goat milk was so precious. I guess it really is the little things in life, right?

So say that you have a wine tasting party and would like to give out a the usual snack to go with it: cheese. You have about a 100 guests, so you will probably need no less that 6 pounds of this creamy-texture deliciousness. You ask your local supermarket for their tastiest cheese. In a blink of an eye, you just spent $3,000.

In a typical farm, about 20 donkeys produce milk at a given time. A kilogram of donkey cheese (also called 'ass cheese' and is ass expensive ass a laptop) is made with about 25 liters of milk. Therefore, the reason why it is so expensive. Mind blowing.

Next time your significant other asks for a rare and special gift for a special occasion, be sure to consider donkey cheese. Just imagine how hilarious his/her post-birthday conversation with friends would be: "What did you get for your birthday?" "Ass cheese".
