MY SMART INVESTMENTS OF 2016
I would like to congratulate myself for mindfully spending in the healthy-lifestyle department. Yes, I have made some investment choices that I am absolutely not proud of, but then I there are those smart investments that I am incredibly happy about.
1. I bought my first glass bottle. I paid a bit over $10 for it but let me tell you, it was worth it! There is nothing like having a bottle that you can always count on without having to worry about it getting broken or squashed while inside your bag.
2. This next investment is "two birds, one stone" (or "one bird, two stones" because both "stones" are going to help me reach my fitness goals). I bought a new pair of snickers for... joining the gym! Yes people, this woman is finally an exclusive member at her local gym. Surprisingly, the membership didn't cost as much as I thought. The reason why it took me so long to make this decision was because I didn't want to accelerate the process of getting poor by spending my cashing on treadmill usage (last time I joined the gym I only used the treadmill). But with Christmas around the corner, I need to make room for all that yummy food my grandma is cooking.
3. Gluten and lactose-free food. This is an investment, let me tell you. I could have been rich by now had I not jumped on this gluten and lactose-free wagon. Sadly, because I am determined to cure my Hashimoto's, I had no choice. For those of you going "Oh, poor thing" about my free-of-many-things diet, chill, gluten and lactose-free pizzas exists! They are just mf expensive.
4. Also, I bought a scratch pad. Whenever I am bored, I write and draw. This is one of the cheapest relaxation therapies tbh. You should try it sometime.
5. A turquoise mug. Coffee mugs are a must during college and for the rest of your life. Now I have a necessity that is plain cute.
6. Bananas. I started purchasing bananas every single time I went to the supermarket so that when I had no time to make breakfast before school, I could toss one in my bag and eat it on the go.
7. I bought another wallet in order to carry my week's money in it (the older wallet has the rest of my money and is hidden in a secret place that only I know). The idea behind only carrying my week's money with me is so that I can visualize what I have to live for the next 7 days.
8. Plane tickets to see my boyfriend. I will keep this short and sweet, so no further explanation.
